Worked in Mumbai as a Senior Cardiology registrar in tertiary hospitals under eminent cardiologists, gaining extensive experience in general cardiology and echocardiogram. She also obtained her Diploma in Echocardiography from Lotlikar diagnostic centre in Mumbai under the guidance of Dr Lotlikar, further enhancing her expertise in cardiac imaging and diagnostics.

  • ADK Hospital, Male’ in Maldives – Led the Medicine Department and Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at a reputed private hospital for two years, gaining significant experience in tropical and critical care medicine.
  • Australia (since 2006) –  She began her career as a consultant in the hospitals along the North West Coast of Tasmania ( post FRACP), gaining extensive experience in internal medicine and general cardiology. She worked in public hospitals and after hours private clinics, managing a wide range of complex cases in North West, Tasmania. This role provided her with a strong foundation in acute care, chronic disease management and cardiovascular prevention.
  • Kalgoorlie, WA (since 2012)– Worked at Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital, managing complex internal medicine cases and providing care to the Indigenous population. Additionally, she worked closely with the Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD) program in the Goldfields, helping diagnose and manage RHD in both young and older Indigenous populations. This experience deepened her commitment to rural and remote healthcare, particularly in addressing the burden of chronic diseases in Indigenous communities.
  • Perth, WA (since 2019)- She joined Sir Charles Gardener Hospital, a leading tertiary care and research facility in Perth as an Acute Care Physician in the Medical Assessment Unit. In addition to providing acute inpatient care, she also conducts a weekly lipid clinic focused on managing famililal hyperlipidemia (FH) and high risk non -FH patients, aiming to minimise their cardiovascular risk. She also offers specialist expertise and genetic testing for patients with complex lipid disorders, contributing significantly to preventive cardiovascular health.

    In her role as acute care physician,this she actively engages in the supervision, teaching and mentoring of medical students and junior doctors-in-training. 
    Subsequently she joined the Neurospine institute, a multidisplinary specialist neurospinal surgical practice in Perth. She established their perioperative medicine services, enhancing patient care within this busy private neurosurgical and spinal surgical group. Demonstrating her commitment to advancing perioperative medicine, she successfully completed a Masters degree in Perioperative medicine from Monash University, culminating in a capstone project. She joined Global Cardiology, Perth in 2024 as a consultant physician and in this role, she provides lipid management and preventive cardiovascular services, reflecting her keen interest in cardiometabolic medicine.
